At the time(1979), everybody had copies of these 10/74 shows via Rob Bertrando and Bob so Will basically sat on these copies for 28 years until I got my hands on them. The mix is different on these vs. the 2 track source so it's all a matter of taste. As far as creating a feeling of \"being there\", these capture that. The difference is the Telefunkens in the transfer chain. This reel was originally dubbed by Wilson in March of 1979. Long before the Betty Boards so at the time, this and the other shows were quite a score. I also have recently done traditional transfers with my new Technics RS1506(a big thanks to Adam Aegert!!) that I'm just as happy about so i'll mix it up if you all want more.\nEnjoy!!",

I have left\n all between-song noodling in this source when the tracks flowed\n smoothly from one to the next. When there was a stretch of no-signal\n between tracks, and no interesting noodling, I omitted the between-\n track material (including the dead air), and faded the track before\n the dead air (leaving 5-10 seconds of crowd after that song\n ended). Other than this, I made no changes to the original source.\n\n The source turns out to be most of the first set from 10/19, and\n then the Good Lovin' from 10/20. Noted flaws:\n- The speed varied radically, and was off by 3.5% to 9.5%,\nadjustments were applied, but it remains far from perfect.\n- Extensive tape surface noise & hiss, this was EQ'ed a bit.\n- Gap in Scarlet Begonias at 4:51, approx 15 seconds missing.\n- About half of China Doll is missing, and there is horrible\nsquealing-tape damage for much of the track, wasn't fixable.\n- Most of Big River is marred by tape damage & speed issues.\n- Two small gaps in He's Gone; at 4:15 and again at 6:41.\n- About one minute missing from the end of Sunshine Daydream.\nWith thanks to John and Rich Petrunis for sharing their tapes!",
