      "notes": "Notes:\n\nA nice, robust sounding '79 SBD tape with some hiss.\n\nSome light trimming of the AUD between songs in the first set. Hard cuts were cross faded.\n\nReduced a momentary increase in levels in the left channel of the AUD during Loser.\n\nBriefly faded out the left channel of the AUD during Althea to remove a moment of heavy static. Not really noticeable in the matrix.\n\nNumerous subtle clicks and pops were removed throughout the show in both sources, more often in the left channel of the AUD. A much more painstaking cleanup process than usual.\n\nVery light EQ for the soundboard source. Used additional EQ to remove momentary heavy hiss in the AUD source near the beginning of China Cat Sunflower, and then after the #31330 AUD patch for I Know You Rider. Wagner's recording had some initial issues here in set 2.\n\n24-second SBD cut in Looks Like Rain, 7-second cut in Drums, and 8-second cut before Sunshine Daydream now patched.\n\nThe SBD sound seems to improve after the Looks Like Rain cut onward, just in time for the big jams - a little more dynamic and clarity.",

      "notes": "General Notes:\n\nWhen the AUD source surfaced on bt.etree, I contacted Am-Dig to see about\nputting the coloborative effort into editing a matrix of this incredible \nshow in Pittsburgh, PA. So a 5.1 and matrix will be available.\n\nThe FOB AUD is an excellent recording for '79 and the SBD is balanced with\neveryone in the mix.  There is some slight phase mostly noticeable in the\nfirst set, and it would appear the SBD source is slightly different for \nthe second set.  Pitch-wise it appears the first set is a little slow whereas\nthe second set SBD is in pitch.  The AUD is definately picking up the main\nPA (as opposed to a \"mouth\" recording which is up close and catching the\nstage/monitor mix) so the result is added ambience to an otherwise sterile\nSBD.  Luckily Charlie Miller's redux of the SBD source recently helped alot\nsince there is much less hiss in this new SBD source.\n\nThis show is simply jammin', featuring the first and only Gloria Jam \n(10-16-81 first time with vocals) and the breakout of C.C. Rider.  I also\nhave never heard any other version of Looks Like Rain with a \"stormy\" intro.\nThe first set is tight and energetic, a sign of things to come in a highly\ncreative second set.\n\nSince disc 3 was going to be short, I decided to make an excerpt matrix of\na show 10 days later that features a start from nothing Saint O.  The\ngroovy Saint intro is very unique and well worth multiple listens.\n\n12-1-79 Reviews from archive.org:\n\n- \"This is one of the classic shows from the 70's and just an incredible jam \n   all the way through. This one is a must for any collector.\"\n\n- \"I can only wonder how stoked the boys were to have Brent as the new guy...\n   Gloria Jam smokes and that next \"jam\" is a completely different work of art.\"\n\n- \"This show stands out in the early Brent era as one of the best. \n   He's Gone>Gloria>CC Rider jam is about as exploratory as the band ever got \n   in the post '76 era. In fact, it is eerily ?reminiscent of the kinds of \n   things the band was doing in '73-74. The China>Rider, Rain to open the \n   second set are dead on versions too.\"\n\n12-11-79 Reviews from archive.org:\n\n- \"That complete stop between Sailor > Saint and the sweet Saint beginning \n   is one of the coolest moments I have ever heard from The Guyz.
