"notes": "\"Mason B. Taylor was a taper from Chicago that recorded concerts by many bands in the Chicagoland area and on Dead tours. He used a Nakamichi 550 with Nakamichi 300 mics with shotgun capsules for most of his earlier recordings. In later years he used Sony D-5 and Sony D-3 cassette recorders with Nakamichi 300 mics.\n\nMason captured spectacular musical moments and loved to share them with his closest friends. In honor of Mason and all the love he put into his recordings we are now able to share these moments with those who can appreciate them most.\n\nAs the shows get uploaded we would love for you to share your stories about the epic times the music evokes so we can all dial back into that moment when the magic was happening.\n\nThanks to Mason’s family and his Chicago and Cleveland friends for opening up Mason’s Jar…\"",

"notes": "Presenting recently released master and first generation collection of John Langdon.\n\nJohn has been a long time taper and trader.\nMany of these recordings have circulated over the years.\nThese are fresh 24-Bit transfers.\nJohn worked at Merlin's Workshop, a record store in Albuquerque.\nThis store specialized in used and collectible vinyl, including bootlegs.\nThis is where I met John in 1980.\nThis job provided John unique opportunities and access to other local tapers.\nIn addition to John's masters, he acquired several shows from the master recordings of local tapers and Customers that frequented the store.\nMany of these local tapers only recorded for themselves and did not trade/circulate their shows.\nUnfortunately John doesn't remember some of the names of the folks who gave him shows.\nPassing ships in the night 40 years ago.\nThere were a few known tapers that did circulate their recordings and those folks are credited in the text, the others remain unknown.\n\nI have done all the transfers, these are transfers directly off the master or first generation cassettes.\nEnjoy ~ Wes",
