Thanks to A. Kowalski for their transfer on the SBD \nsource. Thanks to Keith Litzenberger for another excellent AUD\nused for the patch in Bertha. And thanks to both Jamie Waddell \nand Todd Evens for their pristine transfers and excellent editing\nmastering on the FOB.\n\n---------------------------------------------------------\n\nNotes on the Source Material\n\nSBD (shnID = 525)\nIt is shocking that this is still the only shnID for this show\nas it is so old. However, it is likely until now, a better source\ncould not be located. It is noted that this source, like all in\ncirculation, has a small amount of digi-fuzz and a dropout at \nthe start of Bertha. My original DAT had the same problem so I \nbelive that is indeed true.\n\nThis is another strange 1991 SBD. Let me explain. Quite a few\ndigital SBD's for the 1991 year are in circulation. I am sure\nsome of you have noticed a sorta strange sound quality to them. \nWhat makes them sound they way they do is unknown to me. I'd\ncall them too digital. They tip-toe along the edge of blurry. \nIf I had to guess I would think a portable DAT deck was being fed\nan analog signal into the line in. And although the levels were\nset appropriately the deck was overloaded by 'too hot' a feed\nfrom the SBD. \n\nAUD (shnID = 97389)\nNice and well balanced FOB. This upfront FOB grabs quite a bit\nof the sound from the PA with just enough atmosphere you like for \nmaking a matrix mix. While it doesn't completely fix the strange\n\"digitally\" sound of the SBD it does help quite a bit.\n\n---------------------------------------------------------\n\nTech Notes\n\nFLACs decoded and Wavemerge was used to reassemble the entire\nshow back to 1 long wave. CEP2.0 was used to align & synch all\nof the sources. SF8.0 was used for the EQ setting on the LFE and \nCTR channels. SF8.0 used to adjust the volume for the center, \nsurround and LFE channels. SF8.0 used to adjust the volume for \nthe center, surround and LFE channels. SF8.0 was used to perform \nthe hard limiting on the LFE channel. Surcode CD Pro DTS was \nused to encode to DTS. This incorporates 6 channels of DTS \nencoded 16/44 wave files. \n- Mixed by dan@am-dig.com\n- FLAC conversion 28-JUNE-2009\n- Artwork by dan@am-dig.com 300dpi - For best results\nprint at the highest resolution onto glossy photo paper.\nDesign for use with a clear, slim, double CD case.\n\n---------------------------------------------------------\n\nDTS-Audio-CD Info\n\nFront \nLeft Channel SBD \nRight Channel SBD\n\nCenter\nMono Mixdown Left/Right -5db D'EQ SBD\n\nSurround\nLeft Channel -2db AUD\nRight Channel -2db AUD\n\nSub/LFE\nMono Mixdown Left/Right -3db D'EQ SBD\n\n---------------------------------------------------------\n\nNotes\n\nEntire show (and all disc changes) are seamless and can be\nplayed start to finish without inturruption.\n\nd1t01 \"Tuning\" Is mostly from the AUD source. Crossfades\nto the SBD just a few seconds before the first song.\n\nd1t03 \"Bertha\" Small amount of Dig Fuzz was patch using a\nmatrix mix of shnID 97389 & 94246. This was then EQed,\nlevels adjusted and crossfaded with the SBD to make the\nsource change transistion as smooth as possible. This \npatch came out excellent and is in no way distracting.",
