Recovered community surfaces Built
The curated Deadhead community mini-sites from the topology sweep - the Berkeley nemesis gopher in both its held crawls, the WELL Art/grateful_dead tree, and the DEADLIT conference. The underlying community-surfaces holding also carries the quux.org A-News mirrors and the well.sf / gdead.berkeley / uwp topology markers, held for provenance honesty rather than curated here as wall pieces. Curated from the community-surfaces holding.
Berkeley nemesis Grateful Dead gopher (flagship) Held on disk
A full dedicated GD community gopher server, held on disk: ~4,648 files / ~100 MB captured from the 2007 Gopherbot mirror. The /70/0/ text tree carries 80-plus interviews (the Stoned Sunday Rap, Barlow, Weir, Lesh, Hart, Garcia, McNally, and Silberman among them), the two-part rec.music.gdead FAQ, the Grateful Dead Hour radio archive (logs and reviews), lyrics, the GD discography, set-lists, and tape labels; the /70/m/ gophermaps preserve the menu structure. The live host is NXDOMAIN. Richer than DEADLIT and the public face of the same community that hosts the held dead-heads@nemesis list.

Berkeley nemesis gopher, lowercase crawl (canonical superset) Held on disk
A second, lowercase-host crawl of the same nemesis.cs.berkeley.edu gopher server, held on disk: 8,903 files / 336.4 MB from the 2007 Gopherbot mirror. A strict superset of the held uppercase tree above (+4,285 unique files: deeper dead-flames digests, more dead-hours episodes, the ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu HDF mount, a top-level .gophermap). Kept as the canonical nemesis capture; the uppercase crawl above is retained as the smaller, earlier crawl.

The WELL Art/grateful_dead tree Held on disk
A second distinct WELL surface, sibling to DEADLIT's conf/deadlit but a different tree, held on disk: 420 files / ~367 KB captured from the 2007 Gopherbot mirror. It carries 214 Grateful Dead Hour playlists and 201 radio logs (1991-1993) under gdh/ plus editorial docs (pearson.txt, carroll.txt, the Bralove_Jan_94 interview, hemporium).

The WELL DEADLIT conference (type specimen) Held on disk
The WELL's Deadhead Literature conference - the scholarly register of the early online scene, hosting Steve Silberman and David Gans. Its public front page is held on disk (7 files / ~321 KB from the Wayback Machine): the host roster, the scholarly-conference description, the Jerry Garcia memorial link, and the three book-cover images. The internal PicoSpan message posts were login-gated and never publicly archived, so the recovered surface is the front door, not the conference threads.
